2023 ASTF State Teams Announced

December 1, 2022

On behalf of the ASTF Board of Directors, it is my pleasure to notify you that you have earned a place on the 2023 Arkansas State Trapshooting Team.  Congratulations!  The board and I are very proud of you.  This placement is based on a pre-defined target requirement and your 2022 year-end composite average as provided to us by the ATA.  Your shooting excellence prevailed over many fine shooters.  This prestigious distinction inherently makes you a role model to many aspiring shooters.  May you humbly embrace your achievement and generously pay forward your success.

Robby's Ramblings

Mt Valley, Jacksonville Shooting Complex, Black River, Camden, Independence Co, and Blue Rock Gun Club have all reported good turn outs over the last several months.  Great to see everyone back to shooting.   I have been blessed to have made friends throughout my trapshooting days.  Andy Waldo, to name one, can tell you countless stories from trapshooting past. If you ever get the chance to listen to him; it will be well worth your time.  He Recently gave me a book “Blowin Smoke by Steve Carmichael”.  If you love history, I recommend you read this book of the early days of trapshooting. The Board of Directors of the ASTF have been working hard for our state shoot.  June 21-26.  June 21 is our AIM state shoot.  I’m excited to see new as well as familiar faces.  I wish everyone good luck.  Check out the ASTF website at arkansastrapshooting.com for more information!
